Laparoscopic Bariatric surgery including the Roux-en-y Gastric Bypass

ASA has established a Bariatric Center of Excellence Program. We have partnered with the Huntsville Bariatric Wellness Institute and Crestwood Hospital to provide a range of services required to meet these requirements. ASA has experience performing laparoscopic gastric bypass surgeries since 1998. Over 1,000 laparoscopic gastric bypass surgeries have been performed. Laparoscopic bariatric surgical services are currently provided to over 800 new patients per year. A cumulative leak rate and a cumulative mortality rate of less than 0.2% is maintained.
